iphone rewind {february}

It's so easy to pull out my iPhone to take pics so I have a lot this month!!

Pearson wouldn't take a nap so I went to run some errands.  Of course he fell asleep 2 minute after we left!!
This box was great entertainment for a few days.
Only in Texas is it 28 degrees one day then 70 degrees a few days later.
Daddy is teaching Pearson the greatest of watching sports on TV.
Sweet boy!!
Yup, I eat my powdered sugar with a little French Toast.
Pearson's feet got stuck in his crib when he was practicing his crawling skills instead of taking a nap.
We hit 105,000 miles on my car while on our trip to Arkansas.
Aunt Jenn & Pearson sleeping on the way home from Arkansas.
I love my boys.
His finger got stuck in his paci while he was playing with it.
Naptime in the car.  That can't be comfortable.
I tried the Sweet Potato Tots.  They were really good, but not worth paying an extra $1.50 for.
It's so weird to see him sitting up in the morning when I get him out of his crib.
Carson giving Pearson a bottle.  It was pink because we had to borrow one of Olivia's.
Pretty flowers from Matt's work.
Pulling up on his knees.
He has tons of toys, but he keeps going for Izzie's toys.
I finally got a picture of his cute little pearly whites.
Getting into everything he's not supposed to.
Saturday morning shopping trip to Home Depot.
Snack time on the floor.  It's where it end up most of the time anyway!
It only took 8 months, but we finally got Tom (our old ABF director) to hold Pearson!!

project life {week 8}

I can't seem to get my page done, take pictures of it, and get it posted on Tuesday, so I'm going to start posting my Project Life pages on Wednesday.   I'm just going to be a day late for the Project Life Tuesday link up at The Mom Creative!!
 I didn't actually pull out my big camera until Friday, so I was afraid I wasn't going to have enough pictures this week.  It turns out I took a ton of iPhone pictures so this page protector worked out great this week!
I also did all handwriting this week.  It is just way quicker then printing on the journal cards.  I like the look of printing best, but I just didn't have time for it this week.  I might start doing some of both.  It just depends on if I have time for it or not.
Cost this week......$1.62 at Target for prints

scootin' around

Pearson started officially crawling (like hands and knees crawlin) yesterday!! He is just too cute on the move!!  This is actually a video of him a few days ago.  He even better now, but this was just too cute not to share.  So proud of our little guy!
I'll post another one of him with his new mastered skill later this week!

And I didn't get around to taking pictures of my Project Life today, so I'll be posting that sometime tomorrow!!

about to pop

Today we celebrated Kristin and her sweet baby girl on the way!! The theme of the shower was "About to Pop".
Miss Myla Lorraine is going to have lots of boyfriends to choose from since she is the only baby girl in our ABF among 6 baby boys!!
 The hostesses did such a cute job with the shower.
They made the cutest little popcorn holders for all the different kinds of popcorn.
 White Cheddar, White Chocolate, Caramel, and Kettle Corn......Yummy!!
Pearson slept through half of the shower!!
 But when he woke up he was ready to play with all of Myla's new stuff!!
 I know I said this last week, but I just love my ABF girls!!
{Carissa, Alicia, Andrea, & Denise}
 {Cheryl, Sam, Tammy & Amy}
 {Jennie, Me and Pearson, & Jenny}
 {Anna, Michelle, & Courtney}
 {The sweet Momma to Be Kristin and her Mom, Great Grandmother and SIL}
I'm loving that it's "Baby Season"! Baby Showers are so much more fun than wedding showers!!!
We don't have another baby shower for a class member until May.  At the next shower Pearson won't be the only baby because two more will have been born.  I can't wait to have more Momma friends!!

five on friday

1. I got this table top toy today for Pearson for $5 at a garage sale!  I cleaned it up and it is just like new.  Pearson loves it!!
2.  Pearson has learned how to pull up to his knees in his crib.  Looks like we'll be lowering our crib one more time sooner than I thought.
3.  We saw Ashley, Carson, & Olivia at Story Time today.  It was so cute when Pearson and Olivia saw each other.  It was like Pearson said, "Hey, I know you!!"
 4.  Stroller naps seem to be Pearson's new thing.  He took a 20 minute stroller nap this afternoon along with an hour nap this morning and an hour and a half nap this afternoon!!
 5.  I finally decided to take Pearson to the doctor because he's had a snotty/stuffy nose for way to long. The doctor recommended that we try Children's Zyrtec over the weekend to see if that helps.  If it doesn't help then we'll start an antibiotic on Monday to clear up what she thinks might be a sinus infection.  Poor baby!!

Happy Friday, y'all!!

determined

Pearson has mastered the army crawl/scoot and now he is working on bigger and better things.
He is so determined to do the traditional crawl.  He gets up on all fours but then he doesn't know what to do from there.  He just rocks.
He is also very determined to pull up on things. He can't quite pull up on his feet but he can get up on to his knees.
We are so proud of our little man.  He is so determined to master these new skills.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is full out crawling and pulling up on everything by the end of the month.

if only he knew

If only he knew how wonderful naps are.  If only he knew.
Nap time such a battle for us.  And it has been since he was 4 months old.

Today his naps consisted of a 15 morning nap, a 20 minute mid-day car nap, and a 20 minute afternoon stroller nap.

Obviously I can't get anything done around the house during a car nap or a stroller nap, so I literally got 15 minutes to myself today.  It was such an unproductive day. And I am tired.  This Mama could sure use a break!!

I still have hope that maybe someday Pearson will figure out the beauty of naptime.

But until then, I'm just going to be thankful that he goes down for bed at night without a fuss and sleeps 11-12 hours without a peep!!
